San Cristobal de las Casas

We arrived in San Cristobal de las Casas via a 12 hour night bus from Pochutla (which was amazingly comfortable!). We had only planned to stay in San Cristobal for two nights... but we ended up staying in this relaxed and vibrant city for EIGHT nights! The main reason we stayed so long was because of the fun and chilled-out people at Iguana Hostel (much love Jeremy, Harrison and the gang) and because when we tried to leave, there was a teachers strike closing down EVERY ROAD south!  Any travelers to southern Mexico are advised not to miss this town and surrounds.
