Colca Canyon - The Land of the Condor

Well ... I couldn't help catching up with my boys from Huaraz again to get back on the trail for some more hard going hiking.

Colca Canyon is the second deepest canyon in the world ... so why not hike from the top, down to the bottom ... then back up the other side ... back down ... then back out again!  Crazy you say ... my legs definitely agree on that.  Definitely didn't seem to affect Stephan though who pretty much ran the whole way!  - crazy Canadians!?!

Another great experience with great people in an amazing part of the world - thanks so much for the company boys.  - Another part of my life I will never forget!

Eric, Stephan and Richard having lunch at a great viewpoint from the top of the Canyon ...

The boys soaking up the surrounds next to several geysers ...

The Canyon is a breeding ground for Condors.  The juvenile Condors remain in the Canyon until six or seven years of age, when they move on ...

Stephan trudging the trail

The boys hanging in the Ghost town of Fure

Job, our good Dutch friend!

Contemplating my sore legs ... with an amazing view!
